History of the Old Fashioned
Cocktail historians generally agree the Old Fashioned cocktail’s name was originally developed at the Pendennis Club in Louisville, KY.
Col. James E. Pepper, who was born on the site of what is now the Woodford Reserve Distillery, is credited with popularizing the Old Fashioned Cocktail by introducing it to society at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
The Old Fashioned is the World’s #1 Classic Cocktail.
